I'm sure there are posts all over about this, but time for me to rant for the first time ever (well...on these forums).
Accumulated 9 stamina charges, 8 energy. Won 16 stamina charges the day the event started (I mean seriously, the timing behind that is uncanny). 35 stamina, 8 energy, around $40 worth of fp if I were to buy the charges. That's 6420 energy & 5250 stamina I've sued, not including the 10 levels they got me. You would think that this would give me a decent amount of bullets for the event, but no. I'm sitting on a measly 1360 eagles, they gave us 1100, so I've only got 260 bullets (& therefore eagles) so far.
While I'm sure running the servers, paying staff etc costs some money, I am sure that it doesn't require us all to chip in the $500 minimum that I've seen people talking about to get 3000 eagles. I would happily drop $20, 30 or maybe even $50 into the event if the drop rates weren't so absurdly low. A guy in my empire has spent $80 of fp on stam charges, plus 12 that he had saved, he's got 1480. Our resident power leveler is sitting on just over 1300, this is silly. I saw some of the top ranked players in this event saying how much they spent, I can work out roughly how much they spent based on what I got for my charges (40 X what I have, you do the math). I hate to say it but isn't this just running into greed territory to make an unachievable event reward for the "common player"?
I liked this event, it was a new, novel idea. The early crashes were annoying & lost me eagles, but I still liked the concept. Now that it's halfway done I can honestly say it's worn thin. I'm not going to stop playing, I'm not going to threaten to never pay for fp again, but I am somewhat annoyed that I HAVE to pay a lot of money to get anything good from it.
Off topic I kinda blame this whole PABlam fp strike thing. Hurrying things like this event up (if it actually succeeded in that, for the dev's sake I hope it did & caused this) will mean there are problems, which there are.
And rant over, now I can be less annoyed at things & be mellow again. Feel free to hunt me down & hit me in game if you were an fp strike supporter & now hate me, same name
